Hope for Haiti

A Benefit Concert for Haiti

Friday, January 28th, 2010

The Concert to Benefit Haiti is an opportunity for us to raise money on behalf of Doctors Without Borders / MSF to provide emergency medical care to those who were injured in the devastating earthquake.

Why Are We Doing This?

On January 12, 2010 a catastrophic earthquake hit Haiti killing an estimated 100,000 – 200,000 people and severely injuring several thousand more. It has been reported that physicians on the ground (Doctors without Borders / MSF) have never seen so many serious injuries as those sustained by victims of this earthquake. Moreover, surgical units set up in Port-au-Prince have been working around the clock to treat large numbers of patients, often in makeshift clinics as many hospitals were destroyed in the earthquake. The most serious cases have involved caesarian sections, amputations and severe head traumas.

The country is in dire need of medical intervention along with medical supplies and that is why this event is being held. We need to raise money to support those who have been injured by this tragedy.

Thank you for your support!
